How to Use Your Hydrosol

Aromatherapy Bath

Our hydrosol carries a soft, clean scent, perfect for a relaxing aromatherapy bath that is kind and calming to sensitive skin. Simply add a splash or two to your bath and allow the calmative fragrance to envelop and soothe you while you soak.

Facial Toner

Our hydrosol can be used as a refreshing facial mist directly on the skin. Mix hydrosol at a 1:1 ratio with rosewater to give your complexion a fragrant boost or with witch-hazel extract to use as a soothing astringent on blemish-prone skin.

Clarifying Hair Rinse

Combine hydrosol with Apple Cider Vinegar at a ratio of 1:1. Thoroughly rinse hair with the mixture once a week after washing with shampoo and conditioner. This gentle mixture dissolves residue left behind by hair products leaving your hair soft, shiny and easy to style.

For Pets

Safe to use on both dogs and cats, our hydrosol can be added to your pet’s bath to help alleviate discomfort from mild skin irritations. When applied neat to a cotton pad it can be used to clean their ears and can be applied directly to minor cuts and abrasions to clean and soothe.

Linen Spray

Spray clean sheets and pillow cases with hydrosol and allow to dry completely before making the bed. To boost the fragrance and help soothe restless sleepers add a few drops of Bridestowe Pure Lavender Oil to your hydrosol and spray onto your pillow at night.

Ironing water

Siphon neat hydrosol into your iron in place of tap water or dilute for a lighter scent. As our hydrosol is a pure water distillate it is free of the minerals contained in tap water that creates damaging sediment and may discolour some delicate fabrics.
